The Tea Tree Field

These Tea Tree plants (melaleuca alternifolia) were imported from Australia and planted in 2005 as part of an experiment since Tea Tree, like lavender, has well known therapeutic properties. Despite the cooler Jersey climate, we manage to distill a small quantity of oil from the plants each year, and it is hoped that soon we will be able to incorporate the oil into our product range.
