A great way to see the farm!
A great way to see the farm!
Whether you’d like to tour the farm as an individual, a small group, or as a larger gathering, we welcome everyone to join us on the tour around the farm. We’re pleased to welcome all tour operators and we’re happy to slant the tour towards the group’s areas of interest, be it botanicals, nature connection, wellbeing and regenerative farming.
We take great pride in making the tour unique for you and your group.
What a standard Tour looks like…
The tour usually gives an overview of the growing season, harvest and distillation of essential oils and hydrosols, produced from the lavender and other herbs grown on the farm. Not forgetting the abundant flowers, plants and mature trees from around the world on the farm, with one very rare specimen from Australia!
1. Meet Up
Our tour guide, will greet the tour group and lead them into our peaceful gardens.
2. About the Farm
We will begin the tour by sharing how the farm was established, the changes over the years, and how we plan to regenerate the farm for future generations to come.
3. Harvesting
We will give you an idea of the harvesting process. At this stage, you’ll be led around the farm itself, and you’ll see our colourful lavender being grown in various stages of growth, through early to mature plants. In addition you'll see mature rosemary and eucalyptus herbs, as well as many mature specimens of trees from around the world, including the extraordinary Wollemi Pine, a native of NSW, Australia, thought to be extinct 25 years ago, and now being tended in public Botanic gardens and the like all over the world to preserve this living fossil.
4. Distilling
A film is available to watch describing the distillation process, and how the crops travel on their journey from harvest to distilling. Joshua is available to answer questions on distilling essential oils and their general uses. If you visit us during harvesting season, you’ll be able to see this in action!
